- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been going to Dr. Gammer for years. I was referred to him by a nurse friend of mine. After having a skin cancer in a particular area reappear several times with another doctor, my friend suggested I see Dr. Gammer because, she said, "He is one of the very best." All the little snarky comments about his abrupt manner may be true if you are really critical or too Seal Beach yuppy, BUT, as I have come to know him, he is quite caring and compassionate. Each time I have called and reported a new skin (not a recurring one) cancer, I have been immediately taken in. Yes, I have at times waited, but that is because he does take emergencies, and when he finds something he has to get off immediately, he takes the patient into the surgical room for quick removal of the lesion. When I go to him, I know I will be thoroughly examined and cared for. His office is always packed, because of his excellence. If you want competence and experience--he's your man.
